This is the shower in the kids bathroom.  When we started the remodel on Placita Ardilla I had no inclination to do anything like this.  A visit to Sierra Tile really inspired me to give this a try.  There is a display of a shower there that is just beautiful and I thought that it might be fun to try making a mosaic.  My procrastination, and life in general, kept me from finishing this project, and it was 3 years after the remodel that I even got started, and one year of on and off work after that to finally complete it.  The process was actually quite fun, almost like putting together a puzzle. The finished project lacks the polish and sophistication of that mosaic at Sierra Tile, but I am so glad that I took this challenge on!
